KNGDM REVIVAL
KNGDM REVIVAL is a happily redeemed married couple who believe that the electronic music scene needs another voice to run to: Jesus. Michael and Emily each have their own wild backstories that led them to their joint radical salvation. Simply put, they are living proof that God changes hearts and lives everywhere, regardless of where you are in life.
They have a different approach to producing worship music. All of KNGDM REVIVAL’s lyrics are, word for word, from scripture. There is an abundance of amazing worship music out there today, but the majority of it relays other people’s experiences with the Lord and His Word. Michael and Emily instead want to bring people the Word so that every person with ears to listen can have their own experience with His Word in every song. KNGDM REVIVAL was created to allow the Word, and only the Word, to speak for itself–free of varied theological views. Every track is solely built on word-for-word portions of scripture with no favoritism, and no sugar coating.
Why the name KNGDM REVIVAL? In the 70’s, there was a massive revival that broke out in the then rock n’ roll Woodstock era, which mirrors the Coachella and Burning Man era many are familiar with today. The formula in the 1970s was simple then: give people the Word of God, not religion. Calvary Chapel’s revival happened because of God, not fancy marketing and/or messages. Chuck Smith simply read the Bible verse by verse, and the Word of God moved hearts. KNGDM REVIVAL aims to take this very same approach by removing the “I” in the Kingdom so that God’s Word can bring forth revival free of any bias.
